It was more a sincere question because I don't understand where the OP is coming from. The post they've shown doesn't look bad to me in any way.

My post really wasn't to be taken seriously, i think you can see it makes a lot more sense as an ironical commentary than a personal attack. Sorry !

All this to say yeah, so someone likes FF and believes it's what Team Fortress is supposed to be. It does make sense if you think about it (look at TF games up until TF2). Wether that makes FF a better or worse game than TF2 is entirely irrelevant and pointless, but FF is unarguably a "truer" evolution of the TF concept.

And yes on the internet people tend to comment on things.

This is an okay way to advertise, just post messages anywhere saying "PLAY FF!" that would be fine too as long as someone dose something!

I'm guessing he's confusing the statement of the poster's preferences with the assertion that TF2 is a game orientated about the unskilled because of the absence of many traditional TF mechanics.

after i posted that shit on youtube i actually sat back and looked at it and realized it was a horrible way to promote the game, but then I didn't really care enough to take it off so... oh well i failed.

Once again the blatent elitism shines through in the words of a FF player. Fortunately the game is now dead and TF2 is ruling the world of online FPS. This is not my opinion, these are facts.

How is the game dead? There are people still playing and development is still going on. Dumb troll is duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb.

i'm pretty sure my personal elitism has nothing to do with the game's success or downfall, but it would be great to think that I could have that much of an effect. There are assholes all over the internet and in every game and I just happen to be one of them. Any publicity is good publicity amirite?

I didn't really feel like that was even an offensive statement when I first made it, and I felt it to be personally true. I enjoy FF and I play it every day, and I had good intentions with bad execution.

i was playing the game last night, how was that possible if the games dead? or maybe it died right after, but i still see people playing. im confused bokko...

the average gamer has little skill, tf2 was aimed at the average gamer, its no wonder its been so popular. combine that with being a big valve title with a decade of publicity and its not surprising people have bought and played it.

the only major publicity FF has received has been a few reviews here and there, mostly after release. ask 100 cs players if they know what tf2 and ff is, most will know tf2 (valve in-game advertising), maybe 1 in 100 will know ff (and that 1 will play tfc...).
