There is a time and place for everything, and a public game of FF is not the place for p0rn sprays.

They're allowed on some servers, and they're not allowed on others.

[AE] couldn't give a shit what you spray or say, but [o-t] would definitely be pissed if you put a vagoo spray on the wall. So... play in the places that cater to your tastes.

Edit: Maybe as a compromise we need a "don't see any sprays except your own" option in Fortress Options.

The ability to disable sprays all together would be a nice option.

Kev, I think that it's simply a matter of your point of view. Some people don't think seeing such content is offensive, and actually enjoy it, such as myself. It's definitely not "family friendly", though. So yeah, like everyone else said, just play on servers that don't permit those sprays. [o-t] would be a great place to start.

My 14 year old son plays this game. As a parent I am concerned about the sprays.

My 12 year old daughter needs more memory in her computer to play FF. And I was thinking of getting her some extra ramm. But this p0rn problem is getting worse. I'am to the point that I dont want my daughter playing this game.

So, do I have any volunteers that will explain to my 12 year old daughter "why" there are pictures of naked women on the walls? Or should I just not let her play?

I don't really mind what people spray, although the extreme kind of images that do get posted are somewhat annoying and I'd rather not have to see them.

It's not so bad if you run past them once or twice whilst fighting or moving to an objective, but when you have to sit and defend a certain area of the map with such things infront of you it's a whole lot more annoying.

I would have thought most people would prefer not to see such things, although I doubt many will make a song and dance about it.

Last night while playing on shutdown 2, this guy (not me) asked if people would stop with the p0rn sprays. It seems that his mom was walking through the room and he did not want her to see the pictures.

A couple of the replies where, "just dont look at the pictures."

I thought to myself, "when a kid has to worry about their parents seeing something in the game, something is wrong." And then I thought, "what would the mom say if she knew what kind of pictures were being displayed in the game."

The sprays of frontal nudity have a double effect.

1 - Parents may not want their kids playing FF.

2 - The kids that are playing the game have to worry about their parents seeing the spray.

The pictures of scantly clad women are not offensive. When a spray is nothing but the picture of a womans vagina, that is too much.

Over the past few weeks the sprays have gone from girls in a g-string, to close up pictures of genitals. The pictures are getting more extreme.

This is all well and good but a macro shot of an open vagina is not always something most people want to see. Yes, us guys all love vaginas and they are great fun in many ways but if I'm playing FF I am not interested in seeing that same overused macro shot everywhere I look.

Comedy sprays are fine but lets not take it too far, I don't remember any properly regulated or managed servers allowing anything like that in other mods, even clan run servers tend to frown upon that kind of thing.
