That being said...there were not many redeeming qualities that AVP brought to the table as a movie (I'm being generous as I can think of none). I think it set the franchise back some. Hollywood has a pretty bad track record with film adaptations of comics/graphic novels. The few exceptions hardly seem to upset that balance any. I think skepticism is healthy and hopefully the skeptics will be pleasantly surprised.
