A possible way to curb assholeness in FF.

Create a list of asshole players and post it on the forum. Have an unknown user make a new account, then create a thread called the Shitlist and have a mod sticky it on these forums. Everytime someone's a jerk, a player can take a screenshot showing the offending text message (with the speaker's username) and PM it to the caretaker of the Shitlist, who'll then put it on the list. There'll be a listing for each person, showing how many times they've been an asshole. The potential humilation would cause some people (especially members of a famous clan) to think twice about being an asshole to other players.

Yeah...I see no way this will ever happen. Clans could do it, but not FF as a whole.

A "Hall of shame" certainly does bring attention to deviants.

You might think people would say, "Look, John (rank #1 on your A-hole list)is such a jerk. The screen shot shows clearly he is not Mr. Nice Guy. Shame on him!"

The reality is the complete opposite. It's more like,
"Wow, John is cool. Notice his 'I don't give a crap' attitude. I like him because he is confident, and not held back by social pressure. What a dude! Oh, he has a harsh sense of humor too!"

Here is my thoughts on this. Even though it effects FF player base it is very simply a local issue and should be dealt with by the server owners. Not all Clan members are admin on their servers The clans pick and choose their admins.

Now all AE members have some sort of admin It might just be as little as map changing ability But thats how we have it set up to manage our pub server.

If some one was to make a post like that and I was on it, I would see that as bragging rights. So it might back fire and make the situation worse. So remember to try to think of both results good and bad from something like that.
