i think the rocks look out of play circ because, as he said in the post he needs to remove the shadows

the railing in the last pic looks nice in terms of detail, but it kinda ruins that spot for sg's etc.

I'd take it out. Gameplay > all.

broken railing? it whould add the possibility of the sentry and won't destroy the detail

the ladder at the right was there in previous version, (i've forgot it so, sorry)

oh, yes something what is not good at making the bottom of the flag pit higher: if you place a sentry at the flag exit, it will be able to kill you ... and you cant hide (yes if you go up the ladder the sentry can see you, but you have time to trow grenades!)

4. Where's the ladder for climbing up from the bottom to the side entrance area? Or are you supposed to climb those rocks you've added?

ladders are straight, the rocks arent, so i'm going to find a sollution for it :d

I think you're seeing the ledge at the bottom of the grate as a door. Second-to-last picture? That thing on the left? You can see how it juts out where it meets the grate - I'm pretty sure that's a ledge.

yeah, should fix another problem, if you jump down now (in hl2sp) you get hurt, but its the exact size like in the original :s
Also I think it's obvious from looking at the flagroom picture. Have a look at this comparison.

Definately an improvement IMO.

Oh, you're using a ladder model... Just use a brush and put func_ladder over it. :P

i get hurt, but the grate is higher in the new version.
maybe i should make some stairs in the upper room to lower the entrance a little ?

you really need to crank up your video settings though... turn on max AA and AF for screenshots.

i don't know if i sounded agressive (sorry then) or if you intended to, but no, i don't have another texture. maybe i wouldnt' use orange at all, yellow/black striped could look good too. just a suggestion.
