Streaming films from computer to my TV?
I'd quite like to watch films from my computer on my TV, which is in the other room, so a TV-out cable would be quite a stretch (and i've never managed to get one of those working anyway..), does anyone know what the current technology is like for this sort of stuff?
E.G. TVs with ethernet which can browse my computer over the network? Some sort of ethernet to TV-out gismo? some sort of long video-out cable? Ideally I could watch youtube and stage6 etc too. |

My TV had a VGA cable plugin in the back- had a spare computer laying around the house and connected that to it.
I guess you could use like 20 VGA extenders.. GL? |

I had an old PC lying around, hid it behind the TV and put it on my LAN. I use VNC to access it and also have a wireless mouse/keyboard attached.
