Greetings, FF Mappers!

While our new site is still under construction... our download manager and forums are up and running!

We've set up a user group for member of the FF, TF2, and HL2M Mappers Community, that will allow you to upload and manage your maps.

We're happy to host your maps, in the hopes that it'll make things a bit easier on the community.


All good things come with rules, however!

First, you must REGISTER on the forums:
www.asseater.org/forums/

Second, You must http://www.asseater.org/forums/local_links.php?catid=1 'Fortress Forever Related Discussion Board' that you're a community mapper, and would like hosting access.

Thirdly... we'll add you to the [AE] Community Usergroup! Once in that group you'll receive access to upload and manage your files on the download manager: http://www.asseater.org/forums/local_links.php?catid=1

After that, you're good to go! A few things to note:

1) Please upload your maps to the appropriate directory! (AVD, CTF, etc)
2) Please REMOVE outdated maps! (ex, beta1 is on the site, and you just finished beta2, please remove beta1)
3) Feel free to link to your maps from here. The downloads are available to everybody - So feel free to pimp your downloads here. No reason to fret and worry about where you want to host your map! We got you covered.


Until our site is finished up, you may notice linking errors between various modules - so I strongly recommend you bookmark the forums URL, and the Download Manager URL...

Thats it for now! The download manager is quite ugly at the moment, but fully functional, so use our storage and bandwidth for your own needs!

** How to use the Download Manager **
1) Go to: http://www.asseater.org/forums/local_links.php?catid=1
2) Select the right category: AvD, CTF, etc
3) Click the red Add Entry button near the top middle of the page
4) Fill out the Map name, and a description
5) Browse and upload file!
6) Browse and upload Screenshot! (Optional, but recommended)
7) Parent Catagory is just another way to select where you want to put it
Leave the 'Parent Forum' As-Is
9) Submit!

Quick easy and painless!
