What does it matter that 10/20/50 guys that get into the beta know all the tricks. I might be making some assumptions here, but you have eyes, a brain, and the ability to learn from your experiences. I think the community at large will pick up the tricks shortly after release. I think it is also somewhat unreasonable to think that all the tricks will be found in the window of the beta, whatever it's eventual legnth.
And anyways, you can load up a local server and case the map ahead of time. (Once FF Is released, obviously) No laws against that. Last edited by o_groovis; 09-09-2006 at 03:33 AM. |

I think the dev team should not release a beta to the public at all, not even forum members that do postcount++ all day.
Most people here don't want to help fix bugs, but rather want to have another game to play. And I'll be honest, I am one of those people. However I have the patience to wait until version 1, whenever that comes out. |

And those of us without patience will shrivel up and die as soon as a closed beta with forum members starts.
(If there is one. I think that's still, officially, up in the air right now.) |

Eh, I still say there's quite a few admins who are able to test the game already. IF they have a closed beta, it'll probably just be 20-30 people, enough to keep a server full for a week or so and then BOOOOOOM release.

Are you saying they'll be able to find 20-30 people who will play for a consecutive week?
Actually, come to think of it that might not be that hard... |
