I was skeptical at first when a dev mentioned an 06 release date but they really seem to be pushing that date. I know it's not an official release date or anything, and even if they miss it I'll still be here waiting, but it's good to know that they're pushing for such an immenant release.

A: Good question. As we get closer to releasing FF, it makes sense to build up some hype through media releases. Although we've made some good progress since we released the video, FF exhibits some fundamental problems (like those referred to by jesse in his latest journal) that need to be fixed. I guess I haven't championed any updates for a couple of reasons, namely because I've been investing time in other areas and I didn't want to give out "just a few screenshots" following a video like our Dustbowl clip. Idea

Schtoofa makes a post in dev place of forum to the beta testers and giv info about what a vid should have(like shit we havnt seen, stuff we dont know... maby give of some secrets to build up a hype and then on release it'll be like an ultimate climax(swoooon)).

Beta testers make one (assuming they have knowlegde enough to make one which i think they do...), send it to schtoofa. schtoofa likes it and posts it as an update = devs work, betas work. more progress and happy ppl going zomgzors at video =D'

Otherwise, fuck it and let them make the game faster, media updates be damned.
