Hopefully you guys aren't surprised. Like many software companies Valve doesn't exactly have the best reputation for hitting hard deadlines. At least they're not as bad as 3DRealms...

TF2's not in a true beta stage. They don't have a bug reporting system, no explanations of known issues, et cetera. It's an early release to hook people.
