So many forum users but no-one is playing!

Just browsing the euro FF servers and theres a total of 12 players on all servers playing FF

Waited so long for this game and it seems to have flopped before its even begun!

What has happened, whenever i browsed this forum over the last year or so i got the impression FF would be very popular and have a strong following straight away, even though TF2 is out i would have thought there would be more people playing than this.

I got TF2 free with my Radeon 2900, ive been playing it abit for the last few days and its not bad but it feels so much like cs its untrue, waiting to spawn and random "critical hits" (headshots from cs).

Bitterly dissapointed with both games for very different reasons

Try some of the US servers, we get fairly decent pings from people in europe some nights...

Unfortunately there were too many bugs in FF and people just jumped ship for TF2 or TFC. IMO the bugs were not game breaking and there really wasn't any reason to give up on the game so soon. I'm hoping that 1.1 brings some ppl back because most of the servers that are populated are 24/7 Map servers and I hate that.

Maybe it's just me but I don't find dustbowl to be an improvement. Cornfield is much better than it was but dustbowl is just how it was in TFC.

Anyway, I much prefer maps like congestus, dropdown, aardvark, and flash than maps like 2fort, dustbowl, well, and hunted.

Generally, I enjoy newer maps. The only real exceptions to this are stuff like congestus and schtop (SOMEONE REMAKE SCHTOP!).

One of the Devs/Forum leaders/someone with the power to do so should send out a mass forum email to all members on the release of the 1.1 patch.

Sure, a lot of the email's won't get through for various reasons, but it'd still find it's way to a decent amount of people - people already interested enough to have registered here in the first place...

Heeeey don't sweat it. One of the big reasons why the player base has been dropping off is because many go to school/college and are busy w/ exams SATs, ACTs, SATII, etc etc. I can even see this from a business perspective too: the teens and young adults who regularly stop by to buy stuff has kind of come to an abrupt halt.

Its going to get more momentum once thanksgiving hits, and from then until christmas break, that time frame is going to be the big opportunity for getting things patched up and tweaked, since most of the college entrance exams and college mid-semester exams will be over by then, at least until after christmas break.

Port the TFC maps into FF and see what happens.

you just might find some folks liking this?

FF is an awesome mod. Maybe, just maybe bringing in some TFC
maps that look a lot like TFC maps will give it some boost in FF?

just a thought.

The way I see it, FF is still BETA for a long while yet. Updates
is what it's all about. As soon as the FF Dev's find their niche
it will all come together.

That's a fantastic idea! Now, tell me how I can accomplish this task, and I will be glad to do it for most TFC maps that I used to play.

I would, whatever tweaks or map additions they have ready I'd break them out now. Our server had been full though so many complaints later or people flaming ff in general has left the server empty these days.

So many full tf2 servers (including mine) would lead me to believe your assumption is wrong Dr.Uudge. Everyday that passes will just lead to more and more leaving based on what I've witnessed in my 10 years of running servers.

After following ff for so long I'd hate to see it die.
