Well the concs have changed
I hope you all didnt get used to the wall sticking and how far the grenades roll on the ground because now concs just keep on going. Can't say I am too happy about this. What does everyone else think? I may just be speaking too early since I got used to the old ones.

I noticed this first time I tried to conc. This needs to be lowered ever so slightly.

I just tried to do a high jump on ff_concmap_mc. Oh man. Before you could throw the conc at the wall and it would stick so it would go off and propel you up. Now, the conc bounces off the wall and UP. It then stops and falls. So you stop in air, you throw the conc down and it hits the wall and bounces up so it either sends you crappy or you fall right past it. The walls have become even worse I am afraid :/

This also applies to regular grenades as well.

LOL this is exactly why I asked...I'm so glad I didn't get used to the old way. I haven't been able to test out the new conc's, but I'm sure it will be pretty easy to get used to!

No, not really man. It's like rolling a conc on ice on the ground, and I don't know how to explain the walls.

I can honestly see this making some already released concmaps much more difficult/impossible. Any jumps that require you to throw a conc and fall with it are in jeopardy. I have found something new about corners as well. If you are high jumping in a corner and you throw the conc in the corner, the conc will stop dead in the wall and slide down the wall. It doesnt bounce off, it just sticks there. makes it possible to do high ones if you have a corner.
Overall I am just upset that I bought a conc server, i released a map, i have two maps in progress and now it is all messed up without warning that this was even going to change. There wasn't even a justified reason for this. The concs slowed down a bit on walls, so what. When you throw something at a wall in real life (which the physics are), the bounce slows it down. Now, they dont even work right. I cannot even comprehend why they bounce up if you throw it straight down at the wall while falling. It doesn't make any sense. I think this was a mistaken code change. We'll get it sorted back to how it was ASAP.

Well I was never a concing champion so take my suggestion with a grain of salt. But I was somewhat used to the old concs (when I actually was able to time them correctly). The new concs do seem to roll/bounce in completely random patterns. You can throw one and have it stop on the very end of the conc ramp in Well, and throw another right in the same spot and it ends up gliding all the way out the water by the bridge.
To really control them you have to basically aim straight down or just prime and jump, which I'm horrible at. But if they remain this way I'm sure we'll adjust. |

^yeah thats seems to be the real problem. The concs sliding isn't that bad but it is too much. The concs not bouncing down when you throw them down is what is the issue. Not to mention the fact that if it aint broke dont fix it.
