I hope this issue does not stop hounding him for the rest of his career; what an irresponsible way to handle a life-threatening situation. Inexcusable.

I'm pretty sure it's the police officer who's the dumb fuck.

She got on the phone and swore at the police and never even tried to explain herself. While the cop might not be right, she's a moron. She was better off yelling "HHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP MMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEE" then just yelling "WHAT THE FUCK" at the cop.
Sure she is panicking, but she's a moron. I don't like the cops, but if I need their help I know to give them some respect. |

Note how her first "What the fuck" came when she didn't expect the line to be picked up and was just saying it out of panic. The cop thought it was intentional and took it too far.

You've got to be completely demented to fault the girl.

Might as well make swearing illegal, since her first curse came before the line was picked up.

They're both at fault, the cop more so than the girl, but the girl could've just shut up and filed a complaint later after help had gotten to her. So I'm going to give about 98-99% fault to the cop, and just a little bit to the girl. The 6 minutes she wasted arguing is well within the response time of any ambulance I've seen around here, in a busy city, so it would've been more beneficial to get help, then complain. But the cop definitely went way over the top.

And since it's almost common knowledge where the 911 calls are answered around here, That's playin with your life. Would be a nice evening to put a couple rounds into that fucker that answered the phone.

I can understand not wanting to deal with someone swearing, but it's a fucking emergency line. If you've got a gripe with someone saying fuck, deal with it AFTER you get the guy on the floor some help. Inexcusable.

I would say that his experience and position force him to act with more tact than that. Shit, I treat my customers better than that and no one is in a life threatening situation.
I guess my point is that she is not used to being in this kind of situation. Her stressed out reaction is normal, and expected. Especially considering that she failed on two attempts to get through to 9-1-1. He should have been smart enough to remain clam and honestly, not even mention or react to her cursing. He's an emergency phone line operator. His job is to be calm under situations of extreme stress if he can't handle being cursed around (because she wasn't cursing at him until he gave her attitude) Then he should not have that job. I would like to hear his comments though. Any kind of apology or explanation would go a long way in making me less upset about the subject. I imagine that girl as well. |
