Sleep - What does Windows (7) class as inactive?

Because I left my machine encoding a video last night at the fecking thing went to sleep.

..just resuming it now.

Windows in general consideres not moving your mouse at inactive. Thus why my computers are set to NEVER sleep.

Right.

I was on a slimmed down XP for the longest time, that had sleep disabled, forgot how it works.

I put 2 .bat files on my desktop so I can disable it when need be, and turn it on again.




Here (for people viewing this page from searches):

Sleep ON (30min)
Code:
C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe -change -standby-timeout-ac 30
Sleep OFF
Code:
C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe -change -standby-timeout-ac 0
Put a line in Notepad and save as .bat

I've turned mine to never sleep because I was having problems where it'd basically turn my computer off (lights, fans, everything was silent and off), and it wouldn't come back to life all the time, and it was getting to be more of a pain than it was useful.
