What auto-reload script do you use?
I didnt have a chanse to test it in a serious game(only on the lan).... but here is what I use:
Code:
bind "a" "+moveleft;-reload;" bind "d" "+moveright;-reload;" bind "s" "+back;-reload;" bind "w" "+forward;-reload;" bind "mouse1" "+attack;+reload;" EDIT: changed to the right script |

Actually it doesn't take any timing. Hammer it constantly for best effect. In TFC reloading is not a tactical decision. Hence why some people would rather use a script to reload constantly than go through the tedium of pressing the button every few seconds. But I guess that's not TRUE-TF GAMEPLAY?

This again eh? Nobody hammers their r key so that statement is a bit pointless. The advantage such script gives you is not very big though, is it?

well im against scripts in general ... but I dont think an auto-reload script can do any harm.
I just wanted it for the quad-rocket maps where I got really mad when I had to wait for the reload. |

I used to think, autoreload script? Lazy bastards. But now I use a simple one and it makes my fingers hurt less after a few hours of TFC and 'hammering' the reload button especially because my straffing, jumping, crouching, voicecoms, +use, previous weapon and weapon select are done with the same hand (not including walking and scores because they barely get used). Just makes life a little easier for me but only gives about a 0.000000000000000000000000001% advantage over other people.

Lets not argue over auto-reload scripts again. You can use the search tool if you really want to do that...

I use one that reloads whenever I move in any direction. If the clip is full, no reload animation takes place.

I use the simplest and most effective auto reload script, bind "mouse1" "+attack; wait; +reload; wait; -reload". Personally, the constant reloading animation isn't a problem for me, but I did come up with a simple solution to stop it. What is it? Switch your weapon. It isn't that hard now is it?

Well whatever side of the fence you stand on concerning the reload script I think FF has come up with a solution by having the reload script built in so its fair for everyone.

That is a somewhat of a "blonde" statement by jesse there. It does make me laugh though and I believe eKiMs use of smiley sums it up.

Haha, no, it was more of a, "Why make an auto reload script?" statement.
The Brian Regan reference should've helped, and if you dunno who Brian Regan is you can just get the hell out. |

Ah, Brian Regan. Funny guy.
Y'know, I never bothered with an auto-reload script, simply because I never saw the need for one. Reloading was never a hassle for me, with my config set up as it was. Plus I don't bunnyhop/run willy-nilly/do things that require constant finger use, so I have time to tap reload.

I love how alot of people use reload scripts, and all these other scripts. I am so glad that the only modification that I use are crosshairs. And I still can beat almost everyone I come up against.
