There comes a time when one must update, and that time is coming soon. If he's having a hard time with the current engine, he probably won't be able to run the OB Source engine... or whatever you want to call it. Since brand spanking new source game is coming out that everyone and their mother is going to buy and the engine is better than what we haven't even started upgrading to yet... well...

But I'll put it to you guys like this. The engine L4D runs on allows me better FPS on higher settings than what TF2 allows with lower settings and lower FPS. For example, I get a capped FRAPS average of 300 at the start of the tower in the L4D demo. In FF I get the same thing. In TF2 I get 80 on Dustbowl while looking at the ground.

So... You know...

L4D engine plx.

I agree with Credge. It's amazing how I seem to have more fps in L4D gameplay than in TF2.

if anyone is seriously fucking around with directX 7 or directX 8 needs to upgrade. DX7 is phased out in OB, DX8 is phased out in L4D

well i used to play DX7 only, until i upgraded, more than a year ago. :\

The lengh of bragging rights is directly proportional to the age of the bragger. For instance, A 14 year old is legally permitted to brag for 4 years about anything related to females and/or computers.
