The worst TF2 map is CTF. The majority of user-created maps for TF2 are CTF. Almost all of them are completely unfun. CTF is old and busted and just suits for boring camp fests.

That would be up to the Dev's.
We currently have a beta6 version that plays pretty nicely with the exception of a couple bugs already mentioned. I'll check my rotation and make sure it is still in there so just come by when you see the map being played or if I'm in there I will change to it if enough people are in the server.

Capture the Flag is a game that's been played by Boy Scouts of America for at least half a century, and who knows how long it was around before that. And that's not even the end; capturing the flag is how battles in real wars were determined, so CTF is probably just as old as war itself! But yeah, you're right. Anyone in history who has ever fought a battle was just a lame noob camper. The war is never over. -Joker |

You can play TF2 already....just get some new player models for DoD. Oh, the added benefit is you get nades, too.

We played it a bit last night....with a nearly full server. The beta6 played VERY well. I really don't think it will take much to make this map perfect.

I have yet to be able to reproduce the building an sg in the ground thing. But I'm not finding anything major. With the server being popular again I'll get it some more play time and let ya know.
PS. Love the map tweak it how you see fit.

Yo stino, one request considering you still haven't made a final version of badlands(it's my fav map):
Could you make it so the elevator underneath the flag can only be activated by a button, and if the elevator is at the bottom, it would eventually go back up to the top automatically, say within 30 seconds or so? I find myself when trying to kill the enemy unable to avoid that elevator hole sometimes, and it gets quite annoying. Other than that, and the dust that makes me lag, I don't think this map needs hardly anything more to call it perfect. Also, about how long are compile times? I mean, if you set it to compile, go to work, come back, is it still compiling? And when compiling a map, does it hog a lot of your PC resources that potentially prevent you from doing whatever on your computer? I guess what I'm trying to ask without further beating around the bush is can you compile the map without it hindering your ability to use your PC for other things? If not, then why don't you just start compiling before you leave for work or school or family visit etc, then when you come back, you can start working on it again? That way you can get all these people who are itching for a release what they want, along with the pressure released from your shoulders. |

compiling, no matter how long or how well optimized it is, will always take up a ton of you CPU, you cant do anything whilst compiling
