I got TFC yesterday and I have no problem fitting in. (Thanks FF!) As for sniping, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One on PS2 is GREAT! Also, you can BONK people over the head with a rocket launcher, so it's all good.

Half-Life 1 deathmatch is also good, and it quickly teaches you how to ditch the crosshair. Seriously, the sniping crosshair in that game is literally 1 pixel.
