BTW, I have a suggestion for Odin's Graveyard. Lock the server please. Give out the PW on the Cats but lock the server. It is a horrible place for a newb to join as the Vets get irritated and the newbs get screamed at. It could cost us a lot of future players. Only one player can turn away dozens by posting on a different gaming community forum what a bunch of dicks the FF players are.

In the end it hurts FF. Lock the server or teach the newbs. Treat them with a little respect.

I for one is a noob, I once accidently grabbed the flag and it ended with me running around for three minutes before realizing where I should put the flag, and it wouldn't have been possible for me to cap it without the help of one guy.

Great post. I was thinking the same thing. If there's one thing that will do the most to change the fortunes of this mod it will be the attitude of the players to the newbies. I was thinking we should be taking swear words out to make it less offensive but this may be overkill.

I left TFC because of the attitudes that had developed and unfortunately only after a few hours of playing I'm seeing it again. This mod will continue down the unfortunate road that TFC went if those, who are often prominent members of the TFC community, continue their elitist abusive attitudes. I'll give it time but unfortunately I don't feel hopeful that things will change - kids will always be kids. Too bad really, this mod has a great deal of promise but only time will tell if people will step up and try to change the behavior of others through example.

What about an FF-Help server?

It could be used for training and helping newbs. If a person asks a question while playing on a server that has a lot of serious gaming, we could just jump over to the HELP server and work on a few things.

Great post and great idea about the server.

There should be noob servers like there are in cs..where new people go to play against new people..and learn..surely that would be more fun for the new players as sticking them against some ex =BC= or [DW] member in there first game isnt going to be very flattering for themselves now is it
