A request to people releasing maps with loading screens
do you reckon you could do a similar thing to the stock FF maps, where you give a brief overview of your map, how to play the map etc?

Hey at least I put something useful to remember what map it is. :P
Nah but seriously, I was gonna do that but when I started thinking about it, I was confusing myself, on my own map. I'm just saying, it's easy for simple maps like shutdown2 but when there's more into play it gets much harder to fit everything into that mini screen and it looks horrible too. Anyways, I'm an artist, so having all the loading screens with a generic look doesn't sound like much fun to me. I prefer if ppl try to cook up something from their guts that's original and beautiful instead of simply applying the template. |

For immediate release of my maps I'm just tossing in an appropriate photo or painting. Photoshopping the images similar to the FF Team takes hours of time especially for those not so good at Photoshop. I'm guessing they hired one person to do all their maps.
Let it also be known that anyone can make the overviews or edit existing. So make it yourself! If my maps were more complex I'd probably do an overview screenshot at the very least, but my maps are small. I doubt they'll get much play... it's a hard business. |
