No FF_2fort on release??

why won't 2fort (the most popular and ultimate map) be released?

This is blasphemy to the TFC Gods. They will not be impressed with your
mappers lack of priorities.

I can't say people trying other maps rather than immediately going into a 24/7 2fort server is bad for the game on release. The number of maps we're releasing with is more than..basically any mod or valve mod I can think of...actually too many to be in a rotation at once or it will overwhelm the player. A follow-up patch with 2fort, potentially a couple other less conventional maps, added features and any balance tweaking/bug fixes will come post-release.

2fort will be super amazing with time I am sure so it will be worth the wait. Theres plenty to keep you occupied before it comes though so dont worry.

Phish is right. There really is a rediculous amount of maps in FF Repotoire right now and it just happens that 2fort is not one of the completed ones. I have no doubt that when the devs do release it in the near future, you will see it was worth the wait...

I think this is a good decision overall -- 2fort is by far the most played map, but it's anything but the best playing map at more skilled play levels.

shutdown2 and openfire were fantastic choices.

Keep in mind these are the maps FOR RELEASE. They aren't the only maps which are being released. Some are just more perfect that others right now.

Correct. 2fort is closer than it's ever been. Just not quite ready yet.
