Mouse trouble in FF
Lately my mouse will freeze up for 5-10 secs during game. It doesn't do it during any other game or when using my PC. Someone once suggested defraging the SDK and it seemed to work for a week or so, but I'm having the same problem again. Anyone else had this issue?

Well first of all what mouse do you have?
I had this problem with my razer-lachesis and it was happening because i kept hitting the profile button on the side so I just disable the function.

I have the mx518 Logitech mouse
I don't think its a button I'm mashing. The only button I don't use doesn't seem to have a function when I disable the Logitech software (which is always off) |

I have had the same problem lately. I dunno whats causing it, my mouse is less than 6 months old. It just started a week or so ago, before 2.1 released.

Same problem here. I have a Razer Deathadder. It never did it in 2.0, but in 2.1, sometimes (not often) the mouse will stop working for 5-10 seconds then kick back in.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. Maybe some of the dev will take a look into it.

Haven't had that kinda problem. Had it on my previous computer, though. Still not sure what the problem was, then, but it was more than a couple years ago. In other words, I have absolutely no idea what your problem is.

I used to have a problem similar to this years ago in Half-Life where with a wired mouse the game would stop responding to mouse input commands and make it very jagged movements. Of course usually resulting in me dying usually.
It turned out to be some weird issue with mouse acceleration in Windows XP. Turning off mouse acceleration in the game (via launch option) fixed it for me. Not sure if this would be the same thing, but it might be something worth looking in to. |

Is it just the mouse that lags? In 2.1, i get periodic ~5 second freezes... and then it goes an as usual. Odd (and annoying).

Though i'm glad that fixed it, I don't know why forcing Window's mouse acceleration stuff off would help that kind of problem.

Though i'm not saying this is the cause, I now remember that I know someone that had two Microsoft Blue mice break and have this happen to him. He just returned it both times to fix it :/

ya I just checked my default options and there isn't one I could find either. Did your mouse come with any drivers maybe updating drivers would help IDK.
