If you play again, let her keep the gun she tries to give you. You get another one off the guards and that whole scenario with her father and the guard goes very differently if she has a firearm.

Sweet. Makes you wonder how ALL your choices change the game.

When I finally decided to get Fallout it was next to Red Alert 3. Tough decision. Especially with Tim Curry on the cover of RA3. I love Tim Curry.

Actually, correct me if i'm wrong since I haven't tried it but I read that you can't kill children, they just go unconscious.

There apparently is an exploit on the console version of the game where, after you get the Sandman perk, you can sneak up on unsuspecting children, murder them in their sleep and collect the exp. for it but since they don't actually die you can do it over and over again.

The tags that prevent children from being killable were removed via plugin. As such, PC users can kill children now (if they download and enable the plugin).

Oh that was awesome. I watched one of those big tracked robot fuckers fling a giant radscorp much in the same way. It landed behind me and took off straight at him again and proceeded to beat that bot's ass.

I have been playing this game for 50 hours now. And I just got to Rivet City yesterday. There are so many side quests it's insane. As for the kids... I tried to blow that little fuckers head off in Paradise Falls and then the Mayor in Little Lamp Light. Lol I just shot and shot and shot nothing. Oh and speaking of Paradise Falls...

After the slaver smashed the bartender's skull and started laughing, I couldn't take it anymore. I wasted the whole slaving operation. I mined the whole area around the bar, sat back and sniped anyone who made it close enough. Fucking slavers.

The only thing that bugs me is just now... I was walking around in ANOTHER dark building and reloaded a save game and was wishing, shit I want a flashlight and the little help text on game reloads says "To turn on your PIP boy light hold down the Pip Boy button. WTF! 50 hours and I have a damn PIP boy light?

rofl.

Yeah you can't kill kids in the normal version. If you have the PC version, there's a mod, but they're otherwise untouchable.

Indeed.

I'm going to hold off making any new characters until it's released. There will be a mod surge the likes of which no game has ever seen.

For those of you who recently surpassed puberty, you can expect a deluge of nudity and skimpy attire within the first week.
