Dude, don't be afraid of exploding barrels or other exploding props LOL..this map has a ton of spots where exploding barrels would be so cool.

Hey, I just tried to use pakrat to put all your materials in the bsp so you didn't have to use RES, and that sucker was almost 12mb in size LOL...geez.......well, anyway, it's the thought that counts....I want to put your map in rotation on my server but the res thing is kind of scaring me. I believe in old school, but that is way old school. How do I run your map on my server and make sure the players get what they need to make sure your map looks right on their end when using res? I have never used res for a map on any server I've run since 1999. I definitely cant use pakrat to have a 12mb map set for autodload though.

BYW, its your models and signs that are driving up the file size. Still, I sure like this map better than the original 2fort. Just wish you would add some props to it.

All you have to do is stick the .res file where the .bsp file goes and everything will automatically download. I know in TFC I made a custom .wad file and just used -wadinclude in the compile options. I wasnt sure if there was any way to do that with source. The size of all the materials together is pretty small. 752 KB - 682K of that is from the loading screen.

Maybe, just maybe I will add some exploading stuff before I release the final version.

can you maybe screenie the missing textures, and could this be a problem in the conversion to bz2? I havent had any other issues like this come up with any other servers.

Thanks for the feedback.

Indeed it looks like a bad res files. Two lines of the res file include the following.

sns_sign_twist.vmt
sns_sign_twist.vtf

The actual file names are just sns_twist.vmt and sns_twist.vtf - Thanks for pointing that out. I will fix the res for the final release.

It shouldn't be too much longer. I just want to make sure that everything is working as it should be, and that nothing else needs to be added/changed. So far all of the feedback has been positive. A couple people wanted me to look into adding some exploding barrels and stuff, which I'm playing around with.
