Either (or one nominated) team has an objective to protect. The other team can cause damage to that objective, thereby either increasing their score, or causing some kind of decrease in the available resources the other team has remaining until the resources are depleted. This could happen simultaneously (think CTF but with objectives to damage on either side) or Attack & Defend style (one team protects their base for 15 mins, then the team swap and whoever defended best wins after the two mini-rounds). Lots of potential here for double damage modifiers where a spy has to get through to a switch and take some shielding down, enabling his teammates to do more damage to the target.

Could even do it so that a detpack can totally ruin the other team's objective in one hit, but it's very hard to do.
