Vista? ;)
lol I have never seen this before. =[ |
We had 1 user in the Beta report this problem when joining from the Steam browser, but we haven't been able to reproduce it. If anyone else has this problem please post!
Hey that was me. I had the exact same error yesterday and I erased everything, I'm gonna install the release install and see if it does the same thing.
Hey I got this too in the beta.. I thought some files got corrupted as it
happened after I closed FF while it was loading a map. Reinstalling the mod fixed it for me. |
I get it, but only with passworded servers it seems.
Same Problem
Hey I'm getting this same error on trying to join a game, I've reinstalled the mod and that still didn't seem to help me. Any suggestions?
Been getting same message on any server I try to join
maybe try this i dont know if it will work tho http://www.fortress-forever.com/foru...ad.php?t=10584
same error. tried "reinstalling" by moving folder out of mods directory and moving it back, didn't do anything, already deleted zip so redownloading and gonna try that again.
one thing - before it let me launch it downloaded source sdk base - tried deleting that but it just pops back up (recreates itself?) instead of redownloading |
You need Source SDK base to play FF, so leave that there so you don't download it again, if that is what you meant is happening.
Try running FF from a shortcut, or from the steam games window, or directly from the server browser.
No change.
off to a flying start...
I downloaded a zip file, not an installer? |
You get this error when you installed the windows server files, instead of the client.

And the windows server install gives you that error, I tried it myself today.
hopefully that was my problem... grabbed the zip and assumed it was the client before someone mod'ed their post about it in the downloads thread for mirrors. least it only takes me 4mins to download from the mirror, etqw.owl site, smokin!

I dont get the error anymore... its working just fine.
YOU GUYS FIXED IT FOR ME TY!
I'm getting this error and I have the client not server installed. Been searching for a couple hours and can't find a fix.
How are you guys fixing the issue? edit: ok I think I did get the server copy. I downloaded it from a direct link on the front page that seems to be gone now? Anyway, re-downloading now :/ |
You sure you have the client? 'Cuz that's a missing client.dll thing.
Fuck. I'm sure I DL'd the client (it's an installer, not a ZIP), but I get that error from trying to join certain servers only.
Looks like I'll have to re-download  *EDIT* I think the installer is skipping files... Let me try the other solution first... |
