Someone suggested making the HUD customisable by map type, or making it really flexible (like allowing map makers to define new HUD setups / items / areas etc depending on the map's objectives / properties). Not sure how this would be achieved from a technical sense, just recording it here.

I think this should be left alone and possibly implemented in future.
