It occurs to me there is a good reason for the size being essentially hard coded into the template. If one wants to change the size for design reasons, it's much easier to do without a lot of manual edits. Since not all the images I use with this template are the same aspect, I think sizing them by vertical pixel size might be the way to go, and set the default on here to what it is now (I think 95px).
