Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey there.

I'm poking my head up like an Orca spyhopping or a prairie dog doing whatever prairie dogs do when they pop out of the hole and look around.

So, I've worked a little on some stuff like the "crosshair information" that shows up when you put your crosshair on a player/buildable. It's all clientside so no annoying hud messages are sent or anything like that.

I've also worked on the "player location" stuff. Like, when you're in the "ramp room" you will see "ramp room" displayed on your hud and if there's a team associated with that location the location name is drawn in the team's color. It's all hooked into LUA because the trepids would not have it any other way (and believe me they whine like crazy when you make an entity just a regular entity & add an .fgd entry - fryguy can vouch for this!). And w/ the location stuff, fryguy wrote the actual c++ code to handle the lua stuff for that since he's the lua guru. He might even be psychic as he had the SetPlayerLocation function done before I was even assigned the player location stuff. Maybe he knows the release date of FF?!

Anyways, hopefully the next media release will come along quite soon (or before this Dev Journal gets approved possibly (?)) so stay tuned/hope you enjoy that.

I've been modeling some more props during the last week; decs will probably get coerced into texturing them at some point (he loves it).

Anyway, today I recorded some voice sounds for the medic amongst other stuff. However, I have been fired from the job, as a very special celebrity has graciously donated his voice to the FF cause. This man will motivate your team and change them from division eight slackers into world beaters overnight. You cannot refuse his calls for medical assistance.

Non Europeans probably won't recognise his voice, but they will still respect and obey it.

Posted 1 decade ago Lead Texture Artist
Hey again! Well i thought i could share some information about what I'm doing and of course what the other members of the art team is doing.

Ive been doing a little of this and that lately, it fun to do more than just weapons and items. :]
Lately I've worked on the HUD with mirv and we've got at least a temp version working in game, but all the graphics will need reworking and redoing before its perfect. Ive also done a few map props and things like that to help out kokos so he doesn't get swamped with stuff to do, and I've of course worked on the stuff i usually do. We now have quite a few more objects and weapons skinned and in progress at the moment.

FC and Bile have been doing a great job at modeling the remaining weapons and I'm currently working on skinning them. I also got a chance to do some playermodel skinning recently and I think that worked out pretty good:). It was a blast to do, at least!

Our two map texture artists, beefy and blunkka are doing an awesome job at the textures. It's really nice to see how much they have grown and developed after they joined our team.

I think what Dospac said about the reasons for our lack of media updates recently pretty much summed everything up neatly so I don't think I will go in much detail about that. It is a bit frustrating really, because we want to show you what we are doing and working on but on the other side we really want the media we give out to meet our expectations in terms of quality.

Well I hope my journal was at least somewhat interesting and that i didn't just repeat what the other guys said :)
